Sacchetto
Our study on the use of Tyvek for interior design solutions has led to the creation of the Sacchetto armchair. Tyvek is a sturdy and waterproof high-density polyethylene (HDPE) nonwoven that is also extremely resistant to UV light.
It looks very similar to paper.
Spalvieri & Del Ciotto
We have developed an innovative glue and stitching-free system to join different pieces of material. The ultrasound welding technique renders the joints between the Tyvek sheets waterproof. This is how this unbelievably resistant armchair has been created; it is suitable for indoor and outdoor use, though maintaining the delicate and frail look of paper.
